Miller, aged 49 years, who spent some of his boyhood years in Salisbury and other towns in Pennsylvania, died of a heart ailment, very suddenly and unexpectedly, at his home in Arlington, Va., Saturday evening, June 7, 1941. He was a son of the late Rev. Amos C. and Mary Yount Miller, who resided in Salisbury from 1908 to 1912, and was a son-in-law of Christian S. and the late Minnie Enos Lichliter, having married their second daughter, Lucille, some time after they both became graduates of the Salisbury High School class of 1909. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, three daughters and two sons, the eldest daughter being married, and the youngest son, aged 2 years. All reside in Arlington, near Washington, D.C. Mr. Miller is also survived by several brothers and sisters in various parts of the country, nearly all of whom attended the funeral which was held at a funeral home in Arlington, at 2:30 p.m. June 10th. The service was conducted by Rev. Paul Schilling, formerly of Cumberland, Md., but now a resident of Washington. Interment was in the Columbia Garden Cemetery at Arlington. Mr. Miller and family located in Arlington about a year ago and organized the Gasoline Retail Dealers, Inc., a business firm in Washington, with which he was prominently connected. For some years he and his family also resided in Warren, Pa., where he held a good position with the New Process Company, owners of a large mail order store in that city. He was not only a good businessman, but what was still better, he was a good husband and father, and a good citizen with many friends, who deplore his death. Among those who attended his funeral were his father-in-law, C. S. Lichliter, Mrs. George M. Lowry and Mrs. George Riley, sisters of Mrs. Miller, Miss Lucille Lowry, and Ronald Riley, niece and nephew of Mrs. Miller, all residing in Salisbury, and David Lichliter of Boswell, a brother of Mrs. Miller. Meyersdale Republican, June 19, 1941 Karl G. Miller Dies Suddenly Among those who were graduated from the Salisbury High School years ago, and attended the Alumni Banquet, Wednesday of last week, were Mr. and Mrs. Karl G. Miller, of Arlington, Va., and Mrs. H. Norair of Washington, D.C., who came here together. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were graduates in the same class about 30 years ago, and Mrs. Norair some years later. The latter is a daughter of Mrs. Mary Speicher. Mrs. Miller is a daughter of C. S. Lichliter. She and her husband returned home the day after the banquet, and her husband died suddenly last Saturday morning. Some of their relatives here attended the funeral on Tuesday, and a suitable obituary concerning Mr. Miller will be published in The Republican next week. He was the picture of health while here, and his death is greatly deplored by those who have known him and have learned of his death. Meyersdale Republican, June 12, 1941
