Born Dec. 25, 1927, in Jefferson Township, the son of Alton Leroy and Julia Mae (Yoder) Miller. Preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Charles Henry Miller. Survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Doris Jane Menser; and his children, Mrs. David (Barbara) Hilty of Greensburg, Wayne L. Miller and wife, the former Lorrie Browder, Bradley Miller and wife, the former, Nelita Ada, both of Somerset; grandchildren, Jeffrey Hilty, Mrs. Richard (Megan) Lambert, Shawn, Aaron, Elizabeth, and Eric Miller. Also survived by brothers; Devon Miller, Floyd Miller, and wife, Marjorie, both of Somerset. A1945 graduate of Somerset High School, also graduate of the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Ill. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. Worked for North Side Heat, Agway, and then as an electrician for the Somerset State Hospital, retiring in 1986 with 10 years of service. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church where he was very active, and American Legion Post 181. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed golfing and bowling. Friends will be received from 2 to p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, at Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Eric Raygor officiating. Interment at Somerset County Memorial Park.
