She grew to womanhood in the vicinity where she was born, and lived a large portion of her long life in the same vicinity. She became the wife of Jeremiah Miller about 70 years ago, and was his devoted wife and helpmate for about 63 years. Her husband died nearly seven years ago, at a good age. Mrs. Miller's exact age when she died was 90 years, 11 months and 11 days. Her death was caused by a fall which took place in her home in Salisbury, several weeks ago, at which time she fractured one of her hips, and was taken to the Hazel McGilvery Hospital, Meyersdale, where she died Oct. 31, 1931. Mrs. Miller was the mother of eight children, two of whom preceded her to the grave, the other six survive, as follows: Mrs. E. C. Shumaker, of Meyersdale; Mrs. Lincoln Folk, of Elk Lick Township; Mrs. D. F. Geisbert, of Summit Township; Mrs. John Mort, of Salisbury; Mrs. Edward Bonheimer and William H. Miller, of Canton, Ohio. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 54 great- grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Her children were all at the funeral, with the exception of her son in Ohio, and her daughter, Mrs. Lincoln Folk. The latter found it impossible to attend on account of her husband, who was stricken badly by paralysis only the day prior to the funeral, while at the Miller home with his wife, and from there taken to his home in a serious condition. The funeral took place at the Miller home, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Guy E. Wampler, pastor of the local Church of the Brethren, officiating. The burial arrangement was in charge of Funeral Director W. C. Price of Meyersdale. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was a good woman and a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren for a half-century or more. Meyersdale Republican, November 5, 1931
