(Bowman) Miller, wife of Frank Miller, died in the Somerset Community Hospital, on Sunday, November 12 at about 1:50 a.m., of cancer of the gall bladder. She was in poor health for a number of years, and nearly a month ago was taken to the hospital for treatment and possible operation. She was in critical condition several times after being taken to Somerset, but rallied each time until Sunday. Mrs. Miller was born in New Haven, Fayette Co., on April 10, 1874, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and Hattie (Hawkins) Bowman, and was aged 70 years, 7 months and 2 days. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Truly; one sister, Ivy, wife of George Star, and one grandson, David Truly. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services were conducted at her home on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. with her pastor, Rev. George E. Bowersox, Jr., officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with the arrangements in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, November 16, 1944
