Miller, 74, of South Franklin Ave., Somerset, died Aug. 12, 1998, at her residence. Born July 7, 1924, in Friedens, daughter of the late William M. and Mary (Johnston) Brown. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl L. Miller, in 1987; sisters Beatrice and Agnes, and a brother, James. Survived by children: Mrs. Guy (Diann) Gargarella of Pittsburgh; Earl Lynn, married to the former Shirley Hostetler, of Somerset; Joel, married to the former Kimberly Bacall, of Indian Lake; grandchildren: Gabriel, Elisa and Gianina Gargarella; Neil, Aaron, Natalie and Nicole Miller; brothers: William Brown of Virginia Beach, Herbert Brown of Atlanta, Ga., and Robert Brown of Baltimore, Md. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren, where she served as a deacon emeritus. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a volunteer for the Somerset Food Pantry. She was a teacher's aide at Maple Ridge Elementary School. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Somerset Church of the Brethren, Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Middlecreek Cemetery.
