Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the home in charge of the Rev. George Detweiler, pastor of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Interment was made in the Lichty Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, August 4, 1932 ------ MARILYN WINONA MILLER Marilyn Winona, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Miller, of Summit Mills, was born Dec. 30, 1931, and died Aug. 1, 1932, aged 7 months and 2 days. Her death was due to a complication of diseases, following in the train of a severe case of whooping cough. The family thought she had passed the crisis and was on the road to recovery, but the body had wasted too far for recuperation, and this sweet curly-haired child slipped back into eternity. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Patsy Ruth, and by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Layman, the latter of Frostburg, Md.; also by aunts, uncles and great-aunts, and more interesting, by both of her great-grandmothers, Mrs. Sally Schrock, and Mrs. George Miller of Grantsville, Md. At least one great-great-aunt, Mrs. Bender, of Summit Mills, was present at the funeral, which was held at the home of the parents on Wednesday morning. Interment was made in the Lichty Cemetery. Although her life was short, the bereaved parents and friends were comforted when Rev. George L. Detweiler, who conducted the funeral, said: "Her ministry was accomplished, her life beautified the home, sweetened adult lives, and anchored them heavenward." Meyersdale Republican, August 4, 1932
