She was born Oct. 11, 1850, the daughter of Samuel and Catherine (Hershberger) Schrock, and was aged 95 years, 3 months, 28 days at the time of her death. She was the widow of Abraham Miller, a Civil War veteran, who died almost 40 years ago. Throughout her long life span, she lived to help others, and when bodily strength failed, she lent gracious moral advice and support. She lived to the longest age of any person in Summit Mills in recent years. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Wilson Miller and Stella Meager, Meyersdale; Ada Keim, Lewistown, Pa.; Samuel Miller, Gray, Pa.; Irvin Miller and Ellen Weller, Summit Mills. Mrs. Weller and a granddaughter, Ella Miller, lived with her and these three were privileged to minister unto each other for a number of years. One son, Austin Miller, died in 1933. A daughter, Olive, died in early childhood. Survivors in addition to the six living sons and daughters are 30 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren, making exactly 100 direct descendents. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 in the Summit Mills Brethren Church, with Rev. Ewing Jones of the Hostetler Church of the Brethren, assisting Rev. Gerald Polman, who recently became the pastor of the Summit Mills Church. The remains were interred in the Lichty Cemetery under the direction of Mortician H. R. Konhaus, Meyersdale.
