  MILLER
  
    Merle H. Miller, 83, of Glade Pike, Berlin, died July 15, 1999 at
  home.  He was born Sept. 29, 1915 in Juniata Township, Bedford
  County.  Son of Harry and Bertha (Smith) Miller.  Preceded in death
  by parents; brothers, Ralph and Lee; sisters, Emma Smith and Mae
  Miller.  Survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Emma Croner and
  children: Robert married to the former Nancy Gross of Beaver; Patricia
  married to Robert Spoerlein, LaGrange, Ohio; Thomas, married to the
  former Susan Cochis of Amhearst Township, Ohio; and Kathy, married to
  Gary Miller of Berlin.  Also survived by grandchildren: Kimberly,
  Kelly, Kristi, Tara and Cody and great-grandchildren: Ashley and
  Corry.  He was a brother of Helen Miller of Buffalo Mills and Ray G.
  Miller of Hyndman.  He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown after
  25 years service.  He was a member of Roxbury United Church of
  Christ.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 11 a.m.
  Monday, with the Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating. Interment, Berlin
  IOOF Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American
  Heart Association.
