Born June 15, 1919 in Brothersvalley Township. Son of the late Joel and Evie Viola (Gloss) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Betty Mae Weimer, who died Aug. 7, 1993; son, Marlin Grant "Buck" Miller; granddaughter, Amy Messenger; brothers, Manford, Galen and John Miller; sisters, Lillian Miller, Elmira Giles; and Mary Walker-Auman. Survived by these children: John R. Miller, married to the former Georgina "Jeannie" Matse, of Somerset; Norman Joel Miller, married to the former Linda Klinginger of Jacksonville, Fla.; Ms. Claudia "Tootsie" Bowser of Meadville, Pa.; Mrs. James (Renee) Coulson of Ooltewah, Tenn.; Mrs. Dennis C. (Susan) Hepler of Pulaski, Pa.; and Haldor R. Miller, married to the former Bonnie Lohr of Somerset; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. A member of Christ Community of Faith Church; VFW Post 554, FOE Aerie 1801. Retired mechanic from S&A Chevrolet, Saylor Motors and Beacon Tuck Stop for 29 years. U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theatre. Life member of No. 660 Marine Corps League of Somerset. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Christ Community of Faith Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Russell B. Kessler officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
