He was born in Somerset County, Sept. 6, 1880, the son of Eli S. and Catherine (Beachy) Miller. He was married May 24, 1906, to Suie Alice Hershberger of Johnstown, who survives him. A son, Roy, preceded him in death, Dec. 4, 1938. Surviving are the following children: Ralph, Grantsville; Paul, Harrisonburg, Va.; Alton, Springs; Grace (Mrs. Ray Hershberger) Grantsville; and Viola, at home. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Hiram Wingerd and Mrs. Mintie Stevanus, Johnstown; Mrs. Charles Killius, Springs; Harry, Goshen, Ind.; Irvin, Grantsville and Eunice of Grantsville. He was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church. As long as health permitted he was active in Christian service. He was one of the owners of the Miller Greenhouses until 1939, after which he was in the chicken business and raised flowers. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11, at 3 o'clock at the Springs Church. Interment was in the Springs Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, June 2, 1949
