Miller, 95, of Springs, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2005, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Md. Born May 25, 1910, in Grantsville, he was the son of the late Norman E. and Suie (Hershberger) Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife Ida E. (Yoder) Miller, January 29, 2004; a son Rev. Edgar Miller; three brothers: Roy, Paul, and Alton Miller; and three grandchildren. Surviving are one son, Stanley Miller, Bristol, Ind.; three daughters: Jane Benson, Grantsville, Md.; Lois Hepler, Springs; Linda Mullennex, Bluefield, Va.; two sisters: Grace Hershberger, Springs; and Viola Miller, Springs; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church and taught Sunday School for many years at Springs, Meadow Mountain, and Maynardier Churches. He was on the Board of Directors of Penn Alps and Springs Folk Festival from its beginning, Board of Mt. Top Youth for Christ and charter member of Springs Historical Society. Friends were received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., Grantsville. Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Springs Mennonite Church with the Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. Friends were received at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment was in the Springs Cemetery.
