Miller, 81, of Somerset, formerly of the Champion area, passed away Oct. 2, 2001 in Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1920 in Middlecreek Twp. a son of the late Josiah and Daisy (Baldwin) Miller. In addition to his parents, numerous brothers and sisters predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby K. Henry Miller; children, Al Miller and wife Laura of Burkesville, Ky. Gloria Skrot of Somerset, Patricia Breeding and husband James of Estes Park, Colo., James Miller and wife Donna of Shamong, N.J., David Miller and wife Liz of Bristol, Margaret Johnson and husband Mike of Bensalem, Stanton Miller and wife Cindy of Columbus, N.J., Josiah Miller and wife Beverly of Indian Head, and Ralph Miller and wife Lynn of Normalville; 24 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Orpha Henry, of Normalville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. He was a retired steel worker for the U. S. Steel Company at Fairless Works at Morrisville where he retired in 1975. He was a member of the USW of America and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Somerset (Apostolic). Friends will be received from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, the time of service at the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., Route 711, Melcroft. Bishop Irvin Knieriem officiating.
