    Ray J. Miller, 78, of Somerset RD 3 died Jan. 28, 1978 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 22, 1899 in Jefferson Township, a son
  of Theodore and Mary (Hochard) Miller.  Survived by his widow, the
  former Nettie Barndt and these children:  James H. of Somerset RD 3;
  Robert T. of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Dorothy, wife of Frank Reese of
  Union City, Tenn., Willadene, wife of John Shumaker of Bismark, N.D.;
  Jay G. of Stoystown RD 1; Jack W. of Stoystown RD 3; William H. of
  Somerset RD 3; Dale of Quecreek; Ruth, wife of Jack O'Baker of
  Friedens RD 2; Donald F. of Somerset RD 3; 41 grandchildren and 22
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Reed Miller of Somerset RD 3 and
  Annie, wife of Edward Ankeny of Somerset RD 3.  Preceded in death by
  one brother.  Attended the Bethany United Methodist Church; member of
  UMWA; and the FOE 1801 in Somerset.  Friends will be received after 7
  p.m. Monday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will
  be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Bethany United Methodist
  Church with the Rev. Russell Hawk officiating.  Interment, Bethany
  Cemetery.  The body will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m.
  until time of service.
