Born in Brothersvalley Twp., Jan. 28, 2889, she was a daughter of the late Henry M. and Amanda (Mowery) Carver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Miller, a prominent Stonycreek Twp. Farmer, who died in 1946 and she was the last surviving member of a well-known old Roxbury area farm family. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: William H., Jacob P. and Howard L. Carver, Mrs. Maria Miller, Mrs. Ida Frazier Dayton, and Mrs. Adeline Miller Bongiovanni, all whom resided in the Berlin area. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member and was a former Sunday School teacher of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin. She resided for many years on a farm in Stonycreek Twp., near the Cornerstone, and after the death of her husband, moved to East Main St., Berlin, where she resided for many years until she entered the Home for the Aged. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, with the Rev. Wayne Sautter officiating. Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery. The Republic, April 20, 1978 [M1898]
