Miller, 93, Patriot Manor, formerly of Somerset RD 1, died Feb. 27, 1996, in the Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 21, 1903, in Milford Township, son of the late Jacob and Mary (King) Miller. Preceded in death by his wife, Verna, in 1988; an infant daughter, Audrey; brothers: William, Russell and Walter; sisters: Sara Flick and Missouri Walker. Survived by these children: Richard Miller, married to the former Norma Henry of Powell, Ohio; and Dorothy, married to George "Duck" Dively, Somerset RD 1; grandchildren: Rick and John Miller, Lisa Jo and Don Dively, and 15 great-grandchildren. Brother and sister-in-law, Orlin and Ruth Miller, Somerset RD 4; sister-in-law, Hazel Miller of Somerset and Nellie Egolf of Somerset RD 1. He worked for Lorain Steel Mill in Johnstown; the H.W. Walker Company and PennDOT. He was an owner-operator of a truck used in general hauling and a retired farmer. Member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a longtime faithful choir member. Former member of the Roof Garden Barbershop Chorus. He was founder of the Retired Men's Chorus and a bass singer in the Miller Barbershop Quartet. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
