  Ruth Verna Miller, 91, Somerset, died Sept. 26, 2005, at her residence. Born
  Feb. 8, 1914, in Stonycreek Township, a daughter of Galen S. and Minnie Mae
  (Adams) Platt. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Raymond Orville Miller,
  who died March 12, 2004; son, Cloyd Platt Miller; two granddaughters, Melissa
  Miller and Janice Wentz; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Jeffers; brothers,
  Ralph and Ray Platt; sister, Anna Mancionie; and son-in-law, Jay Shockey.
  Survived by children, Mrs. Ada M. Shockey, Friedens; Mrs. Dwayne (Grace E.)
  Wentz, Friedens; Galen W. Miller, Somerset; Glenn R. Miller, married to the
  former Joyce Yoder, Somerset; Harold S. Miller, married to the former Peggy A.
  Schrock, Friedens; and Joe L. Miller, Somerset; 19 grandchildren; 46
  great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Emma
  Grace Kaap, Waco, Texas; Glenn Platt, Somerset; Clyde Platt, Berlin; and Mrs.
  Janet Gomola, Murrysville. Member of Geiger Church of the Brethren. Friends
  received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home,
  Somerset, where a service will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Gerald
  E. Deffenbaugh officiating. Interment Pike Cemetery (Brotherton). Contributions
  to charity of your choice.
