    Samuel Robert Miller Sr., 81, Somerset, died March 29, 2008, at Siemon's Lakeview Manor
  Estate. Born May 29, 1926, in Somerset Township, the son of the late Ernest and Sadie
  (Becker) Miller. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Tompkins; and a grandson.
  Survived by wife, Emily (Fieg) Miller; children, Samuel Robert Miller Jr., Rodger Miller,
  both of Somerset; Donnie Miller, Confluence; Jim Miller and Joyce Lantz, both of Rockwood;
  Linda Birth, Windber; Barry Miller, Marchville, Mo.; John Miller, Cranberry Township; and
  Dan Miller, Windber; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Member of Listie
  Grace Brethren Church and the NRA. Retired from General Motors as a millwright. U.S. Army
  veteran of World War II. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
  p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be
  held at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ronzil Jarvis officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill
  Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Listie Grace Brethren Church, P.O. Box 111,
  Listie, PA 15549.
