    Sarah Alice Miller, 99, Somerset died Jan. 21, 2001 at Somerset
  Patriot Manor, Somerset.  Born Dec. 30, 1901 in Johnstown.  Daughter
  of Fred William John and Sarah Alice (Handlin) Ewel III.  Preceded in
  death by parents, husband Bert Ralph Miller who died Feb. 8, 1983;
  brothers, Frank, Fred and Robert Ewel; sisters, Mary Michaels, Eva
  Rager and Martha Ewel; son-in-law Ross J. Stern; daughters-in-law,
  Wilma (Hoffman) Miller, and Janet (Barron) Miller; grandsons James
  Stern and David Yoder, and great-great-granddaughter Casandra
  Haupt.  Survived by children: Mrs. Violet Stern, Somerset; Frank R.
  Miller, married to the former Mary Uphold of Sipesville; Bert R.
  Miller Jr. married to the former Charlotte Hoppert, Berlin; Mrs.
  Harold M. (Garnet E.) Shaulis, Somerset, and Donald A. "Boots"
  Miller, Somerset.  Also 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and
  9 great-great-grandchildren.  Sister of Mrs. Emma Wilson of Sanidel
  [sic], Fla.  Member of Samuel's Lutheran Church.  Friends will be
  received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday,
  Rev. Edward W. Ebersole and Rev. John J. Palko officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Contributions may be made
  to Samuel's Lutheran Church in care of Betty Weigle, 824 Smith St.,
  Somerset, Pa. 15501.
