Born Jan. 1, 1927, in Hollsopple, the daughter of John and Florence Pearl (Poynter) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by husband, William H. Miller; parents; brothers, Glendon and Ronald Gindlesperger; and sisters, Georgia Young, Mary Boyd; Becky Penner, Beverly Bradley and Florence Gindlesperger. Survived by children: Daniel, Winchester, Va.; Galen, Hollsopple; Alan, Carlisle; Beth Ann, Hollsopple; and Robert and wife, Christine, and grandchildren Emmalee and Joshua, Thurmont, Md. Also survived by sisters Laura Moors, Ohio and Vera Stutzman, Johnstown; brother, the Rev. John C. Gindlesperger, Virginia; sisters-in-law, Janet Gindlesperger, Dorothy Ferre, and Marian Crummett; and many loving nieces and nephews and friends. Lifelong member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Hollsopple, where she was church secretary for 20 years and served on many committees. Graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Class of 1945. Also worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C. and H.J. Heinz Co. in Johnstown. Family receiving friends From 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. Remains will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Seth McPherson officiating. Interment, Custer Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church in her memory.
