  Walter Ira Miller, 68, Hooversville RD 1, died Jan. 18, 1981, in
  Windber Hospital.  Born April 25, 1912, in Quemahoning Township, son
  of Theodore and Cora (Horner) Miller.  Preceded in death by parents;
  brother, Howard; sister, Ruth.  Survived by his widow, the former
  Mabel Winters; daughters: Mrs. L. Reed (Kay) Sipe, Boise, Idaho; Mrs.
  Neil (Elaine) Walker, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Thomas (Audrey) Kimmel,
  Allen, Pa.; and nine grandchildren.  Brother of Charles W., of
  Hooversville RD 1; Park A., Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Vernon (Verda)
  Stutzman, Johnstown RD 4; Mrs. Fred (Mary) McCandlish, Casselberry,
  Fla.; and Mrs. Carmen (Florence) Keim, Hollsopple RD 1.  He was a
  retired dairy farmer and PennDOT employee.  Member of St. Paul's
  United Church of Christ, Stoystown; Friday Night Mixed Couples
  Bowling League; and Forbes Senior Citizens.  Family will receive
  friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday
  at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Remains will be removed to
  St. Paul's United Church of Christ to lie in state from 1 p.m. until
  services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Jeffrey A. Welsh
  officiating.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
