Miller, aged 82 years, passed away at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Burkhart on Tuesday morning about 10 o'clock. His death was quite sudden and was attributed to a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Miller saw him returning to the house, after he had visited one of the neighbors. She thought it took him unusually long to reach the house and upon going out, found him dead on the steps. Mr. and Mrs. Miller resided on a farm for years, but this winter they were making their home with the Burkharts. The sudden death of Mr. Miller came as a shock to the entire community, as he had many friends. He was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. G. W. Burkhart, Mrs. Reon Glessner, A. C. Miller, E. H. Miller, and Roy Miller. The body was prepared for burial by Johnson & Son. Funeral services will take place on Thursday afternoon. Meyersdale Republican, February 12, 1931
