WELL KNOWN MINER IS RUN DOWN BY TRAIN, William M. Miller, a highly respected miner of Hooversville on Jan. 29th, while on his way to work, was run down by a trip of cars, receiving fractures of his legs and arm and cuts about the head and body. He was taken to the Memorial Hospital at Johnstown, but died of shock the same evening. The body of Mr. Miller was shipped to Hooversville where the remains were taken in charge by Undertaker Lohr and removed to the Miller residence. Funeral services were held in the Stoyestown Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon and the sermon was preached by the pastor, Rev. J. S. English assisted by other ministers of that place. Interment was made in the Horner Church Cemetery, near Stoyestown. Mr. Miller was born in Somerset County and was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Miller, who are residing with their son- in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Fickes, of Johnstown. The deceased was married to Miss Clara L. Blanset, of Stoyestown. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Miller is survived by eleven children as follows: Olen, Burton, Nellie, Louis, Albert, Ina, Tessie, John, Lon, and Charles all at home, all of whom are under, 24 years of age.
