    William J. "Bill" Miller, Sr., 71, Berlin, died Tuesday, December
  14, 2004, at his residence. 
    Born March 30, 1933, in Brothersvalley Township, he was a son of
  Ord S. and Edna (Gumbert) Miller.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Keith, Eugene,
  Robert, and Ronald; and sisters: Betty Speicher, Dorothy Morton, and
  Laverne Sivits.
    He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Carrol (Engle);
  children: Nancy, married to Floyd Fritz, Shanksville; Karen, married
  to Donald Hittie, and William Miller, Jr., married to the former
  Susan Coslic, both of Berlin. Grandchildren: Shawna, married to Bill
  Shultz, Central City; Benjamin and wife, Jennifer Hittie, Tidioute;
  Eric and wife, Alyssa Fritz, Irvona; Wesley and wife, Geneanne Fritz,
  Stoystown; Ashley Fritz and fiancee, Sherry Bass, Shanksville; Rebecca
  Hittie, Berlin and Brandon and Blake Miller, Berlin and nine
  great-grandchildren.
    He was a Berlin Borough supervisor for 32 years and a retired
  Berlin Police officer for 23 years.  He was a member of the Berlin
  Fire Department, a former Berlin Borough Councilman and a member of
  Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 98.
    Family received friends Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where a service was held at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Ralph G. Landis
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin IOOF Cemetery.

  William J. "Bill" Miller Sr., 71, Berlin, died Dec. 14, 2004, at his
