Ralph Ellsworth Mills, 71, of 403-C Peace Circle, New Oxford, died Friday, May 17, 1996, at the Brethren Home at Cross Keys, Pa. from complication of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Born Sept. 6, 1924 at Hagerstown, Md. He was a son of the late John and Mary Turner Mills. He was a graduate of Ashland College, Ashland, Ohio. He had attended the University of West Virginia, Morgantown, W. Va., the University of Pittsburgh and Zenia Theological Seminary, Pittsburgh. He had served as pastor of several Brethren churches in Western Pennsylvania for 41 years. He was a member of Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons 151, Ashland, Ohio; Duquesne Commmandery [sic] 72, Pittsburgh; East Hills Royal Arch Chapter 268; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Harrisburg; Jaffa Temple, Altoona; Shrine Club, Somerset; and was past patron of Trinity Chapter 138, Order of Eastern Star, Somerset. He is survived by wife of 49 years, Miriam L. Rohrer Mills; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly S. and Austin Kreeger, Kirkwood; son and daughter-in-law, Gary R. and Edith E. Deeter Mills, Columbia, Md.; grandson, Zachary I. Mills, Columbia, Md.; 3 brothers, William Mills and John Mills, both of Hagerstown, Md. and H. Allen Mills, Baltimore, Md. Services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, in the chapel of Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Doonsboro, Md. with Rev. Robert Stahl officiating. Burial will be in Manor Cemetery, Tilghmanton, Md. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, memorial services by Trinity Chapter 138, order of Eastern Star will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Inc., 601 N.
