He was born in Garrett County, Md., 68 years ago, and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mimna. His wife, Laura Winter Mimna, died in 1920, and he was also preceded in death by two children. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Edward Christner, Robert and Kenneth Mimna, of Somerset Township; Mrs. Freda Ritchey of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Theodore Saylor of Johnstown; Mrs. Catherine Walsmery of Iowa; Miss Mary Jane Ringler of Detroit, Mich., who was adopted soon after the death of her mother, by foster parents; Curtis Mimna of the U.S. Army, stationed in Kansas. Surviving also are these brothers and sisters: John and James Mimna of Meyersdale; William Mimna of Ligonier; Harry Mimna of Youngstown, Ohio; Mrs. Norman May of Davidsville; Mrs. Herman Gartner and Mrs. Charles Gray of Salisbury; Mrs. George May of Meyersdale, R.D. 1, and Mrs. Bessie Porterfield of Cumberland, Md. Mr. Mimna was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. His body was shipped to Somerset and arrived there last Monday morning. Funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 138 East Main Street, by Rev. Reed Shirey, pastor of Grace Evangelical Church. Interment was in the United Brethren Cemetery at Jenner Crossroads. Mr. Mimna lived in a number of places in Somerset County, Pa., during the greater portion of his life.
