  MINERD
  
    Delbert E. Minerd, 58, of Rockwood RD 3, died June 13, 1978 at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born April 21, 1920 in Mill Run, son of
  the late Ward and Ada (Whipkey) Minerd. Survived by his wife, the
  former Gail King; one daughter, Mrs. Harry (Mary Ellen) Hoover; two
  grandsons, Harry II and Jarrod.  Brother of Mrs. Fern Work; Mrs. Ruth
  Cunningham, both of Mill Run; Dale of Pittsburgh; and Byron K. of
  Chalk Hill.  World War II veteran, serving with the Seventh Division
  of the U.S. Army.  Member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. 
  Friends will be received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home after 7
  p.m. Wednesday.  Services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. with the
  Rev. Arnold Kastner officiating. Interment, church cemetery.
