Minerd, 84, of Stoystown RD 2 (Kantner) died Feb. 17, 1984 at Cambria County Nursing Care Center, Johnstown. Born Sept. 24, 1899 in Mill Run, son of Lawson and Luticia Minerd. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Marie Shroyer Maust, who died Feb. 1, and brother, Ward. Survived by these children: Raymond, Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. George (Beatrice) Miller, Somerset; Branden, married to Dorothy Firment of Calument, Pa.; stepchildren: Mrs. Earl (Tolva) Durst of Johnstown; Mrs. Jerry (Reva) Lappi and George Maust, married to Dora Merkosky, both of Cleveland, Oho; and Mrs. Earl (LaNola) White, Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Member of Kantner Assembly of God and National Rifle Association. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday.
