Minerd, aged 62, passed away at his home in Somerset on Monday, Jan. 26, his death coming soon after his removal to his home from the Somerset Community Hospital, where he had been undergoing medical treatment. Rev. Minerd was well known throughout the county due to the fact that he occupied pulpits on numerous occasions in churches in various sections of the county. He had been a pastor in the Somerset circuit of the Evangelical United Brethren Church for the last 12 years, and had served as pastor of the Husband, Beulah, Pleasant Hill and Mostoller churches of the circuit named. In all, Rev. Minerd had been a minister for 35 years. Several years ago he resided at Jennerstown, where he also held a regular charge. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Grace E.U.B. church, Somerset, by Revs. H. B. Kaebnick, Somerset; Rayford Feathers, Pleasant Hill R. D., and C. W. Raley, Jennerstown. Burial was made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, February 5, 1948
