Minko was seen at 8:30 o'clock the previous evening on the streets of Hooversville. At 2:30 o'clock the next morning he was found on the railroad tracks by two men on their way home. Although one leg was ground off at the knee and the pockets of the man's clothes bore no appearances of being rifled, his open pocketbook was found a short distance from his body and contained only 25 cents in change. The wheels of the train had also passed over the man's chest. Minko had lived in Hooversville for a number of years, working as a miner. His wife secured a divorce from him about a year ago, remarried and went to Cleveland, Ohio. An investigation by Squire I. M. Hoover has not cleared up the suspicious circumstances in the case.
