Minnick, 69, of Meyersdale, died April 8, 2003 in Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born May 5, 1933 in Greenville Twp., a son of the late Earl and Laverta (Blocher) Minnick. Preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Modispaw) Minnick in 1990; a brother, Anthony and a sister, Gretiven Chapikitis. Survived by three sons: Robert E., Theodore C., and Charles D., all of Meyersdale and six grandchildren. A brother of Charles Minnick of Grove City, Pa., Violet Hare of Rockwood and Bertha Pyle of Cortland, Ohio. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Maple Leaf Rod and Gun Club. A retired employee of Johnson Memorial Co. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Leckemby Funeral Home. On Friday he will be taken to the Zion Lutheran Church to lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service with Rev. Glen Foster officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery.
