Minor 70, of Rockwood died Sept. 15, 1981 in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born Jan. 9, 1911 in Fayette City, a son of Leslie and Alice (McCready) Minor. Survived by his wife, Betty McVicker Minor, Rockwood; a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Vina Kay) Pritts, Garrett RD 1; also by a granddaughter, Krista Suzanne Pritts. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Rhineland where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Rockwood American Legion Post and the Disabled American Veterans. He retired after 34 years of service with the United States Postal Service. His death terminates a marriage union of 41 years. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Krestar officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
