Mintmier, 93, of Loudonville, Ohio, formerly of Friedens area, died May 18, 1997 at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, Ohio. Mrs. Mintmier had lived in the Loudonville area for the past 33 years. Born Feb. 25, 1904 in Somerset County. Daughter of Mahlon and Minnie Ann (Frazee) Knox. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Clarence Mintmier, who died on March 19, 1964; two infants sons and three grandchildren; brothers, John and Herbert Knox; and sisters, Mary Colflesh, Vallie Younkin and Lettie Colflesh. Survived by children: Mrs. Herbert (Betty) Kick, Loudonville, Ohio; Elinor Fike and Laura M. Thomas, both of Somerset; 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Sister of James M. Knox, Somerset; Floyd P.D. Knox, Confluence; and Thelma R. Trimpey, Boston, Pa. Member of Church of the Nazarene, Loudonville, Ohio; and Loudonville Senior Citizens Friends received 7 -9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service on Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Walter T. Boring officiating. Interment, Pleasant Hills Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 507 North Union St., Loudonville, Ohio, 44842.
