    Alex J. Mish, 87, Ralphton, died Feb. 13, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 10,
  1921, in Ralphton, a son of Paul and Mary (Bieniasz) Mish. Preceded in  death by
  parents; stepfather, Paul Niedwiecky;  brothers, Joseph, Charles and Walter Mish; and
  sisters,  Frances Zoller, Catherine Schokora and Sophie Malowsky. Survived by loving wife
  of 60 years, the former  Fern Rubright; children, John, married to the former  Barbara
  Shaffer, Davidsville; Darlene Mish, Cranberry Township; and Yvonne, married to Terry
  Fortini, Boswell;  grandchildren, Lori Mish, Pittsburgh; Barry Mish, Somerset  Pike; and
  Kara, married to Jamie Burget, West Chester; two loving great-granddaughters, Alexis and
  Mariellen Mish; beloved sister, Helen Blucas, Ralphton; and numerous nieces. A U.S. Army
  Veteran of World War II having served with forces in Austria. Coal miner for over 20
  years. Retired employee for the former Somerset State Hospital. Member of the Somerset
  Post 554, VFW and was a life member of the Jenner Rod & Gun Club. Viewing from  2 to 4
  and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St.,
  Boswell, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. The  Rev. Father Justin A.
  Ratajczak, OFM Conv. officiating.  Interment Weller Cemetery, Somerset. Graveside
  military rites by Somerset County Honor Guard. Donations in  Alex's memory may be sent
  to "In Touch" Hospice, 223 S. Pleasant Ave., Somerset, PA 15501.
