Mishler, 72, Boswell RD 2, died Oct. 25, 1986 at home. Born Sept. 24, 1914 in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, son of Henry and Leah (Stahl) Mishler. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Roy, Kenneth and Martin. Survived by widow, the former Hazel Kaufman, ; sons: Thomas J., married to the former Terri Greski, Seymour, Conn.; Fred R., married to the former Susan Gnagy, Somerset RD 2; grandchildren: Jeff, Beck, Mollie and Jerry. Brother of John, Johnstown; Harold, Trevose; and Helen, wife of Robert Neilson, Fort Myers, Fla. Member of Jennerstown United Methodist Church and Lamplighters Sunday School Class. Served as Sunday School superintendent for 19 years. Retired Sept. 1976 from Boswell Lumber Co. Navy veteran of World War II, having served from August 1943 until November 1945. Awarded the Silver Star "For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity" while serving with a Marine rifle company during the invasion of Iwo Jima. Friends were received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell. Service 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jennerstown United Methodist Church were visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. until time of service, the Rev. Donald Krestar. Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.
