Mrs. Mishler was born in Meyersdale on February 18, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband John of 53 years, who passed away February 28, 1987. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Leona Jane Crawford and son-in-law, Homer Smearman; grandsons: Randy, Terry, and Darin. She also leaves nephews: Carl and Buddy Thomas. She was a lifelong resident of Meyersdale. She retired from Meyersdale Shirt Factory. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God, Prodisin. The family will always remember the way she loved to cook and have her family dinners and holidays, and her love for flowers. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her. MISHLER, Edith Miller 04/06/08 Daily American Edith Miller Mishler, 90, Meyersdale, died April 4, 2008, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Feb. 18, 1918, in Meyersdale, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Griffith) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Mishler; and son, Charles. She is survived by children, Harold E. Mishler and Alice Wilt, both of Meyersdale; Mary Lou Holt, Garrett; and Jane Smearman, Struthers, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was retired from Meyersdale Manufacturing Co. Lifelong member of Glade City Church of God. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Monday she will be taken to the Glade City Church of God to lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of service. The Rev. Milton Morris officiating. Interment Reformed Cemetery.
