  E. JANET MITCHELL
  
  E. Janet Mitchell, 98, Kensington, Md., formerly of Confluence, passed
  away Oct. 22, 2004, in Kensington Nursing Center.  She was born Sept.
  3, 1906, in Confluence, daughter of the late William Boardman Fortney
  and Katherine Reid Fortney.  In addition to her parents she is
  predeceased by her husband Kenneth Mitchell. Surviving are five
  children, James I. Mitchell, Kensington, Md.; Patricia Mortimer,
  Hyattsville, Md.; Nancy Dorsett, Rockville, Md.; Kenneth Mitchell
  Jr., Denver, Colo.; Tom Mitchell, Freeland, Md.; 11 grandchildren, 13
  great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.  Friends will be
  received Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, the hour of service, in the
  Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, Farmington.  The Rev. Peter Foreman
  officiating.  Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery.
