Pauline Mitchell, 69, Friedens RD 2, died Sept. 19, 1987, at her residence. Born March 6, 1918, in Somerset Township, daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Miller) Tipton. Preceded in death by first husband, Charles Whipkey Sr.; son, Charles Whipkey Jr.; and sister, Betty Walker. Survived by husband, Kenneth L. Mitchell, and these children: Robert Tipton, Somerset; Mrs. Thomas (Shirley) Barndt, Friedens RD 2; Ms. Rose Brant, Champion, Pa.; Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Coffman, Saxton, Pa.; Mrs. Peggy Kaufman, Friedens RD 1; and Richard E. Whipkey, Friedens; 10 grandchildren. Sister of: Mrs. Cecil (Althea) Wiltrout, Peninsula, Ohio; Mrs. Edward (Emma) Czuba, Sarasota, Fla.; Mrs. Donald (Maryetta) Maul, Washington, Pa.; Clyde, and Frank Jr., both of Cleveland, Ohio; and Ray, Tampa, Fla. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Chauncey J.
