  MITCHELL
  
    Mary Lee (Showalter) Mitchell of Rockwood and formerly of Salisbury
  died Sept. 2, 1997, at her residence.  Born April 30, 1933, in
  Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Samuel C. and Mabel J.
  (Beynon) Showalter.  Survived by her husband, William H. Mitchell; 6
  children: Barbara (Merrbach) Mischo and husband, David, Mentor, Ohio;
  Joe Merrbach, Altoona; Russell Merrbach, Grantsville, Md.; Kenneth
  Merrbach, Meyersdale; Felicia (Merrbach) Maust and husband, Mert,
  Meyersdale; Jenny (Merrbach) Kline, Salisbury; also 3 stepchildren:
  Theresa, Kathy and Lorie Mitchell, all of Somerset; 7 grandchildren,
  1 step-grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Dick, Fred
  and Sam Showalter, all of Salisbury; 6 sisters: Harriet Higgins,
  Canton, Ohio; Hazel Garlitz and Jean Bowers, both of Salisbury; Linda
  Schaeffer, Glenwood, Md.; Susie Helman, Burlington, W.Va.; Felicia
  Gross, North Ridgeville, Ohio.  Private funeral services were
  conducted Sept. 4, 1997, at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury,
  with the Rev. Randall W. Bain officiating.  Interment was in
  Salisbury Cemetery.  Contributions may be directed to In Touch
  Hospice, Somerset, Pa. 15501.
