  RAYMOND E. MITCHELL
  
  Raymond E. Mitchell, 81, Berlin RD 3, died June 19, 1988, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 8, 1907, in Somerset County, son of
  Simon and Elizabeth (Nedro) Mitchell.  Preceded in death by parents;
  son, Earl; infant daughter, three brothers and two sisters.  Survived
  by his wife, the former Gladys Gindlesperger.  His death ends a
  marriage union of 61 years.  Also survived by these children: Nevin,
  married to the former Deloris Mosgrave, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Ralph
  (Gertrude) Smith of Mars; nine grandchildren and 17
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Gene (Dolly) Leidy of
  Hustontown and Mrs. Katie Wilt of Altoona.  He was retired from
  Snyder's of Berlin.  Member of Unity United Church of Christ and the
  Shanksville Silver and Gold Senior Citizens.  Family received friends
  Monday and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, formerly the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral
  Home, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev.
  James Strohm officiating.  Interment, I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Berlin.
