  Ronald E. "Skeder" Mitchell Sr., 52 of Fort Hill, died March 20,
  2003, at his home.  He was born March 14, 1951, in Meyersdale.  A son
  of Hilda (Phillippi) Mitchell Gibbs of Fort Hill and the late Robert
  Mitchell.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by
  brothers, James and Larry, and step-father Mason Gibbs.  He is
  survived by his mother; daughters, Rhonda Jean Broadwater, Betty Lynn
  Glotfelty and Cynthia Kay Mitchell, a son, Ronald E. Mitchell Jr., all
  of Grantsville, Md.; two grandsons, Luca Broadwater and Matthew
  Glotfelty; brothers, Roger Mitchell of Addison, Terry Mitchell of
  Ursina and Randy Gibbs of fort Hill; and a sister, Darlene Gibbs of
  Addison.  Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service
  will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Ronald Schaeffer
  officiating.  Interment, Silbaugh Cemetery.
