  Mary J. Mix, 75, Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Kantner and Hammersley
  Fork, passed away March 26, 2005. Born Dec. 14, 1929, a daughter of the late
  James and Beatrice Matthews. Also preceded in death by sisters Jean and Joan
  and brother Seth Matthews, and husband Paul. Survived by daughters, Darlene,
  married to Carter Crowe, Somerset; Donna, married to Douglas Levad, Colorado
  Springs; and son James Mix, married to Charlotte Faidley, Somerset. Survived by
  grandchildren Karen Knopsnyder, Berlin; Heather Mort, Friedens; Amanda Kralik,
  Friedens; Jonas Crowe Jr., Patricia Crowe and Rebecca Crowe, all of Somerset;
  Danny Crowe, Friedens; Lori Wojcik, Central City; Lurie Custer, Denver, Colo.;
  Mike Custer, Colorado Springs; Scott Custer; Mike Reed, Somerset; Mark Reed,
  Indiana, Pa.; and Jamie Reed, Windber. Also survived by numerous great
  grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, family requests any contributions be sent to
  Colorado Springs Hospice Center. Service for family and friends will be held 2
  p.m. April 23, at the Assembly of God Church in Hammersley Fork.
