Mock, 73, of 501 Hoffman Ave., Scalp Level, died Jan. 10, 1983, at Windber Hospital. He was born Jan. 27, 1909, in Richland Township, son of the late Isaac and Eleanora (Crist) Mock. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Sarah Weaver; two infant brothers; brothers Homer and Park; and sister Freda Phillips. Survived by widow, the former Eleanor Keafer; and these children: Fred, married to the former Sandy Shultz, Raleigh, N.C.; Paul, married to the former Darlene Pritt, and stepson David Hostetler, both of Windber; grandsons, Tim, Jeff and Paul Robert Mock Jr.; sister, Mrs. Gladys Yoder of Johnstown; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Bessie Mock, also of Johnstown. He was a member of the Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church and Friendly Bible Class. He was the owner and operator of Mock's Greenhouse, Scalp Level. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Shank-Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Dennis Miller officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. Those who wish may make contributions to Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church building fund. Daily American, January 11, 1983 [M2154]
