Mognet, 84, Trent, died Sept. 3, 1997 at Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 23, 1913, in Middlecreek Township, son of the late Eugene A. and Sadie (Miller) Mitts Mognet. Preceding in death by stepsons: Eugene Johnson and Harry Sleasman; half-brothers; Ralph and Roy Mitts. Survived by his wife, Iris (Johnson) Sleasman Mognet; stepdaughter, Mrs. E. Paul (Dalene) Pritts, Mount Pleasant; stepchildren: Keith and wife Sue Pritts, Scottdale; Kevin Pritts and Kelly Pritts, both at Mount Pleasant; three step-grandchildren from out of state, and 8 step-great-grandchildren. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He attended the Center Church of the Brethren. Retired railroad and construction worker. Also did maintenance at Laurel Hill State Park. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Tom Singo officiating.
