Mognet, 58, Meyersdale, died Aug. 16, 2006, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Nov. 1, 1947, in Somerset, a son of the late John L. and Melva P. (Ringer) Mognet. Preceded in death by grandparents, John and Elizabeth Mognet, Clarence and Elizabeth (Butler) Ringer and step grandfather Edward Miller. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Evelyn (Meslovich) Mognet, Meyersdale; son, Alan A. Mognet, Meyersdale; sister, Linda DeVany, wife of Dennis of Bethesda, Md.; and two nephews, John and Andrew DeVany. A 1966 graduate of Meyersdale High School. Owned and operated Mognet's Taxi Service from 1984-2000. Part owner, with his son, of A&J Used Cars, Fort Asby, W.Va from 2001 to present. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 25 at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale with the Rev. Frank Harpster III officiating.
