Mong, 76, of Stoystown, died May 21, 1974 at residence. Born April 6, 1898 in Somerset County. Survived by husband Ellwood, sons Vernon E. of Stoystown, and Quentin G., Muncie, Ind.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister of Mrs. Nellie Clark of Ligonier, and Mrs. John (Hazel) Slenker of Lock Haven. Death ended a marriage union of 56 years. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Stoystown, where she participated in Women's Guild and was a superintendent of the Youth Sunday School for many years prior to her illness. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and until noon Friday at the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, when remains will be removed to St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Stoystown to lie in state from 1 p.m. until time of funeral 2 p.m. Friday when service will be conducted by the Rev.
