MONTGOMERY Final rites were conducted Saturday morning at the Winterberg funeral home for Mrs. Elizabeth (Winterberg) Montgomery, 84, widow of the late Rush Montgomery, who died in the Kiser Nursing Home at Mt. Lake Park, Wednesday, May 14. Rev. George Bowersox, Jr., pastor of the Grantsville Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was in the Grantsville Cemetery. During the services Mrs. Harry J. Bender and Mrs. Herbert Ringer sang, "Sometime, Somewhere," and "Face to Face." Pallbearers were Henry Patton, C. O. Bender, Alvin Beachy, Daniel Klotz, Milton Rodamer and Harold Miller. Mrs. Montgomery was a daughter of the late Henry and Sophia Winterberg. She was born January 26, 1863, at Grantsville. Her husband, a former resident of Cumberland, died several years ago in Waldo, Fla. Mrs. Montgomery was a member of the auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Lutheran Church in Cumberland. She came to Grantsville in May 1945, from Florida, where she had resided for 17 years, to live with her sister, Christina and brother, William Winterberg. She had been in the Kiser Nursing Home since April 1946. Surviving besides Christina and William Winterberg are Martin L. Winterberg, Bridgeport, Conn., and Henry Winterberg, Cumberland. Attending the funeral were her brothers Martin and Henry Winterberg, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert B. O'Donnell and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Cessna and son, Mrs. John Dicken and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Winterberg and children of Cumberland, and the Misses Ruth and Vivian Lockey of Greensburg, Pa.
