  MONTGOMERY
  
  George W. Montgomery Sr., 74, Mann's Choice RD 1, formerly of Jerome,
  died March 22, 1981, at Bedford County Memorial Hospital.  Born Nov.
  30, 1906, in Tunnelton, W.Va., son of Claude and Iris (Kercheval)
  Montgomery.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Josephine Cheslyn;
  brother, Robert L. Sr.  Survived by widow, the former Mary H. Harmon;
  and these children: George W. Jr., married to the former Mary Lou
  Shaffer, LaVale, Md.; Charlotte, wife of John Beckner, Mann's Choice
  RD 1; Sandra, wife of J.C. Smith, Pampa, Texas; Marilyn Krone,
  Frostburg, Md.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 
  Brother of Ralph, Friedens; and Kathryn Tabor, Austin, Texas. 
  Formerly attended Jerome Nazerene Church and Sunday School.  Member
  of UMWA; retired employee of Island Creek Coal Co., Tire Hill; Army
  veteran of World War II.  Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and
  7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell,
  where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev.
  John A. Goodworth officiating.  Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery.
