Moore 68, Soper, Okla., formerly of Somerset, passed on March 8, 2007. Born May 15, 1938, in Somerset, the daughter of the late Alton and Ruth Gladys (Darr) Hoffman. Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Moore and sister, Alice Jean Hoffman. Survived by her brother, George Hoffman and wife Judith of Soper, Okla.; nephews, Daniel Hoffman, Dallas, Texas and Dana Hoffman, Boswell; niece, Rebecca Jo Yoder, Friedens; and step grandson Larry Moore, Acosta. She loved music, singing and playing piano and bass. She sang with a group called the "Highland Folk Singers" for six years. She was choir director at Sipesville Church of the Brethren for many years and was a licensed minister of the Church of the Brethren. She worked at various times as a secretary at the Somerset Foundry, the Somerset Hospital, and the Somerset Rural Electric Co-op. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed her own wedding dress. She was an expert baker and made wedding cakes. She attended Juniata College and graduated from the Jamestown Business College in Jamestown, N.Y. She also was involved in many organizations in the Somerset area before moving to Soper in 2004 with her brother and sister-in-law where she joined and became active in the Soper First Baptist Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Sipesville Church of the Brethren. Rev. Sam Coughenour officiating. Interment at Sipesville Cemetery.
