    Mrs. Elmeda Moore, 70, of Grantsville, died May 17, 1974, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital, after a lingering illness.
    Born in Garrett County, Md., she was a daughter of the late Donald
  and Mary (Warnick) Simpson.
    She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Barnesville,
  Ohio, serving as treasurer and in other offices for many years.  She
  was active in other civic affairs, and had been an officer of the
  Belmont Insurance Association for several years until her retirement
  in 1969.  She was a graduate of Mountain State Business College,
  Parkersburg, W. Va.
    Surviving are a brother, Forrest A. Simpson, Nikep, Md.; a sister,
  Mrs. Lula C. Edwards, Grantsville, and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon in Newman Funeral Home,
  Grantsville, with Rev. Paul Lovejoy officiating.  Interment in
  Grantsville Cemetery.
