She was born May 22, 1909 in Buncrana, County Donegal, Ireland, a daughter of the late Owen and Rose Hartin McCarron. She was a retired selector at the Anchor Hocking Glass Corp., South Connellsville. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and a charter member of the Anchor Hocking Retirees. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville. She is survived by one son, Greer Owen Moore and his wife Loretta of Murrieta, Calif.; two daughters, Rose Marie Long and Mrs. Charles (Norma Jean) Walskey of Connellsville; five grandchildren, Mrs. David (Merlene) Moneith* of Jerome, Mrs. Martin (Karen) Walat of Stoystown, Mrs. Glenn (Colleen) Stewart of the state of California and Charles Walskey Jr. and Shawn Walskey both of Connellsville; eight great-grandchildren, David and Shannon Monteith*, Brett and Cody Walat, Brandon Moore, Ashley, Brett and Scott Stewart. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Robert G. Moore in 1975; five brothers, Owen, Michael, Edward, John and infant Charles and three sisters, Elizabeth Cavanaugh, Annie McCarron and Rose Ellen Bates. Friends will be received from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where a Blessing Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Connellsville with Rev. Michael Sciberras as celebrant. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. A Parish Vigil Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
